In 1919 Grandfather Tschirren laid the foundation of his «Confiserie-Chocolaterie» in Berne. Within the shortest period of time his specialities were sought after all over Switzerland. In 1948 the second Tschirren generation took over and turned the small business into a company with over 20 employees. Since 1989 the third generation, Gisella and Hans Tschirren have been successfully running the traditional chocolaterie. In addition to our flagship store in the picturesque old town of Berne, we have opened two more points of sale in Berne and introduced our specialities abroad. In 1994 we were the first confectionery in the world wide web with our address www.swiss-chocolate.ch. While being open to novelties, we adhere to the heritage of our ancestors and honour this tradition by always maintaining the latest quality standards.
